The two-day contest brought young students to Kutná Hora on the 3rd and 4th of April. The first day was dedicated to knowledge tests and practical tasks at the host school – the Secondary Technical and Vocational School of Crafts. The following day, students headed in the morning to Foxconn’s Kutná Hora plant, where their task was to assemble a small gaming console. The brief was not only to build a functional console, but also to make it visually interesting and, above all, of high quality. Jiří Myšička, Head of Process Technology, not only supervised the contestants, but also delivered a professional lecture about the work of the technology company Foxconn. The students also had the chance to visit the production facilities, so that in addition to possible prizes they could take away valuable insights.
The awards ceremony took place in a friendly spirit, and it was clear that the students wished each other success. But only the best could win. The top step of the imaginary “podium” was taken by student Filip Ryšánek from the Secondary Technical and Vocational School of Crafts in Kutná Hora, and among the schools, the best result was achieved by the College and Secondary Technical School in Česká Třebová. We’re already looking forward to the next editions of the Foxconn Cup, which will surely be just as exciting.
