Thanks to these innovations, a multifunctional specialist classroom has been created, significantly expanding the possibilities for teaching technical subjects, particularly in the fields of low-voltage and high-voltage electrical engineering. The new "Foxconn Laboratory," designed to align with the visual identity of its main sponsor, is now ready to equip students with the practical skills essential for modern industrial practice.

The laboratory was modernised in two phases. The first phase involved acquiring new student desks for 33 students and 10 laboratory stations, including a semicircular auditorium that enables efficient and interactive learning. In the second phase, the classroom was equipped with a modern multimedia presentation system, featuring a large magnetic ceramic whiteboard, a large-format 4K display, two projectors, and high-quality sound.

“Supporting technical education is crucial for our company, as it fosters the growth of future experts who may become our colleagues and innovators in the field,” said Radka Svobodová, Compliance, PR, and Communications Manager for Foxconn Czech Republic. “We believe that a classroom equipped like this will offer students new opportunities to learn and practically apply essential knowledge in the electrical engineering sector.”

The total cost of the refurbishment reached 1 763 570 CZK, with Foxconn contributing over one million crowns. “Thanks to Foxconn, our modernised laboratory enables us to better prepare our students for further studies and their professional lives. The new layout combines theoretical and practical teaching options and meets the educational requirements for the fourth industrial revolution. This space allows students to individually develop skills under the guidance of teachers, which is key for their future employability,” stated the school’s principal, Petr Mikuláš.

The opening of this laboratory is significant not only for the school itself but for the entire Pardubice region. This modernisation adds to the ongoing strengthening of technical education across the region, which, like the whole country, suffers from a shortage of qualified electrical engineering graduates. “The Pardubice region, as the school’s founder, has long aimed to support schools in modernising their teaching and improving facilities for students’ practical training. We believe this modern classroom will provide students with a high-quality educational foundation, preparing them for the demands of today’s industry,” said Josef Kozel, Regional Councilor for Education of the Pardubice Region.

Supporting this project represents an investment by Foxconn into young talent who will one day shape the direction of electrical engineering and technology. “We believe this modern laboratory will allow students to acquire knowledge and experience that will have a direct positive impact on their professional and personal growth,” concluded Radka Svobodová.
