270 runners and walkers lined up to support the family of our late colleague Adam Rowe, a floorball coach and father who bravely battled a serious illness. The proceeds from the entry fee went into a transparent account for Adam's family.

The Libor's Run was initiated by our colleagues in Kutná Hora in the autumn of 2022 as a tribute to Libor Záhořík, a long-time Foxconn employee who left us prematurely. Now this event is becoming a traditional charity run, officially sponsored by Foxconn Czech Republic, which will support people in difficult life situations every year.

The run, which started at 9 AM, had a route of 4.5 km and led through the beautiful corners of Kutná Hora. Each participant took the route at their own pace - some ran it, others enjoyed a leisurely morning walk. Foxconn employees, the general public, children, parents with strollers and many four-legged friends lined up at the start. The fastest runner reached the finish line in a beautiful time of 18:02 minutes. Symbolic prizes were awarded to the runners in the categories of children, women and men by Radka Svobodová, Compliance, PR and Communications Manager, together with Katerina Daczicka, Chairwoman of the Mikulas Daczicky Foundation from Heslov.

"Libor's Run is not only a sporting event, but also a symbol of solidarity and support for those who need it most. In this year's edition we could witness a truly exceptional level of solidarity, both from our employees and the general public. I am proud that through this event, we were able to raise funds to support Adam's family, both from the entry fee and a financial donation from Foxconn. Additional financial support for both Adam's and Libor's family was provided by the Nicholas Daczicki Foundation of Heslov. We greatly appreciate all the support!" said Radka Svobodová, Compliance, PR and Communications Manager.

Accompanying programme

At 10 AM a charity football tournament began, where three teams composed of Foxconn employees and one team made up of Adam's friends - Kutná Hora floorball players - competed. This day brought not only sporting experiences, but also the opportunity to spend time with family and friends. The children had fun on the bouncy castle, colouring in colouring books or enjoying face painting.

"Libor's Run has become an event that not only connects but also helps where it is needed. We hope that future editions will also be successful and support other families in need," added Radka Svobodová.
