The third year of the charity run Foxconn RUN is over, and thanks to record participation, we managed to help where it is needed the most! We handed over a cheque for 50,000 CZK to the parents of little Alžbětka.
It is a run that is not about time but mainly about the experience and the desire to help others. In the Na Špici Park, two tracks were prepared for runners according to their difficulty - 1 km and 6 km. It was not necessary to be a top athlete; it was enough to want to support a good cause or, on the contrary, to show that one is in good shape. This year we ran for little Alžbětka, who was born with microdeletion syndrome - a serious genetic disorder. After several complicated surgeries, Alžbětka does not give up, and with the support of her parents, she continues to fight. "And we want to help her," said Pavel Kožený, PR and Communications Manager at Foxconn Czech Republic, adding, "All the proceeds from the start fee with our company's donation will go to Alžbětka's treatment. Thank you to those who decided to help and care about others."
This year, the popular charity run Foxconn RUN took place again at the Sports Park Pardubice. The record number of two hundred and fifty-one participants in the third year of the run included not only Foxconn employees and the general public but also professional athletes from the ranks of Pardubice basketball and hockey players. The runners could meet Petr Sýkora, Petr Mock, Martin Buček, Ondřej Matýs and Filip Koffer at the start. Players Josef Potoček, Kamil Švrdlík and Michal Svoboda also ran the charity Foxconn RUN with us.
